re: CD931

I have a CD930 which is displaying 'Error' after reading a new disc. Looking into the error (power cycling while holding down x2 keys) the error is reported as 'Error 07' = Subcode error. This implies that the CD930 is having trouble reading the Sub Blocks of the CD. The laser has been cleaned and appears to be working however I notice that during the intial read phase that the disc doesn't spin smoothly i.e. It appears to be off balance.

So this could either be an electronic or mechanical issue.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestion that could help me to find what is at fault.
