Maybe the best tape recorder Philips ever produced.
I still have one of these players. Plenty of features and recording speeds. Reproduction is top-level but recording is not as good. An interesting tape recorder though at its second-hand price. Much better as the similar priced Japanese models. If you happen to find one do not hesitate and buy it.
re: N4422
Surprised myself and hunting through the junk in the loft I came across the multi-lingual original instruction manual. It also had the diagram for the Cresta sync unit added on, so that's great.
Have advertised the recorder and have someone interested in buying it at £80, so it will be on it's way to the 2nd owner soon.
re: N4422
Does anyone have an english version of the service manual for the Philips N4422 tape recorder please. Or know where I can obtain one. I purchased a new one of these back in 1980 with the additiion of a Cresta sync unit. Information on that also would be helpful.
Many thanks
Malcolm
