I bought mine new in 1982 for $900. I've had them repaired once. The tweeters and speaker foam was replaced. These speakers still sound brilliant and crisp, and look new. For a 35 year old set of vintage speakers, that's unusual. They are driven by a dedicated amp. The cables going to them are 12 gauge Ox-free copper with monster gold connectors. Never starve your speakers.
