Top of the Pioneer's learning curve on CD recorders, the best CD recorder ever, period. Not as lavishly build as the PDR-05/99 family, but still good build quality.
Easy to service (compared to a serviceman nightmare PDR-05), super-reliable, except for the nasty Elna battery capacitor leaking corrosive electrolyte - this one MUST be removed to prevent irreversible damage, if not too late already.
Removing the muting AND zero level trannys at audio output (Q405, 406, 407, 408) and bypassing the output capacitors C425, 426 with a copper wire will make it sound a lot nicer than original, but this is a recording machine in the first place. The output audio section has its limitations.
