I have, till now: Technics SU-7300K and ST-7300K, Technics SU 7200/7600 + ST-7200, SU-Z1 + ST-Z1, and this one. This Pioneer has a nice bass. It sounds softer than the equally powered SU-7200, however, Technics has a better ability to drive speakers. Can drive 4 ohms while pioneer can not. However, the pioneer is nice, but the phono section is quite... Bad. Doesn't sound good on phono. Technics is better on this. Alltogether, a nice amp, for pc at The Office it is good to listen to the radio. Use a pioneer tx-540. An 8 out of 10 for the bad phono section

Pioneer quality, made in Japan. I am impressed with the performance of this 21wpc amp.... I have the matching tuner and equalizer so I'm very satisfied with my vintage stack. Not a true silver face tho....

I acquired this amp from a shop in town whome had used it for background music since new, I serviced it and cleaned it and have been using it in my workshop powering a pair of floorstanding speakers for the last 8 years so to sum this little amp up... bomb proof!

re: SA-420

I bought my SA-420 in 1985 second hand and used it for 10 years with great satisfaction. It was then relegated to my attic where it has rested for the past 20 years. I have now decided to bring it back into use but amafraid that, without the manual I am unable to identify the connections on the back or even to confirm that it is still in working order. Can anyone help please?
