I have restored many of these units. and found Most to have non functional or partially functioning L.E.D. power meters. Poor design. It looks like a chip controls the L.E.D's. Too difficult and not cost effective to find substitute and repair. No bottom access means removing the entire main board to replace the capacitors. It can be difficult to replace p.s capacitors (care must be taken so board is not broken) while removing them and the glue. Overall sound on these are harsh in my option regardless of Pioneer's so called non switching design.

I really like this amp. It got plenty of power. The Sound details are not very high however I use it with a Pioneer SG 550 EQ and the sound is rich with it. I love the bass of this unit. I use it with couple of speakers I got and it pairs pretty good with all of them. Power LED's often die and can not be replaced this is the only bad thing about this unit. Solid as hell...

Very good Amp! It is possible to repair the power LED's. It's really hard, but not impossible. I just replaced all 14 LEDs with 2V SMD
