re: SX-60

I bought my SX-60 in November 1983 for $366. I retired it in 1999 because 1 channel went out. (and I wanted a new A/V system).

Flashforward to November 2017, 34 years after I bought the receiver. Tested it - no or muffled, scratchy sound. Amp works good. Tuner works. Something in the preamp was messed up. Bought some Deoxit and sprayed the pots and switches. Now it sounds fantastic. Connected it to my Magnaplanars and sub and I am a happy camper.

SX 40

I have the Pioneer SX 40 which appears to be the same unit as the SX 60. The face components are the same on both units.
