re: SX-700T

Picked up this receiver about 8 months ago, had been cleaned and serviced. it worked very well until recently, when the AUX input, which I'm running computer audio through, seems to be about half the volume it had before. It reminds me of an old turntable I had in the 70's that required a small pre-amp between it and the receiver. Without the pre-amp, it was barely audible.

Does each section, tape, phono and Aux have separate "pre-amp", or is this a symptom of something else? The tape and phono seem to be outputting to "normal" volume levels (vol dial at about 9-10 O'clock is plenty loud).

Thanks in advance for any help on this.

re: SX-700T

Aux inputs, usually bring the least used, would have much more oxide on the switch surface contacts. Clean the selector switch with de-oxit red, bout only on that component. Use green de-oxit for the pots.
