re: SA-155

Radio Shack's SA-155 was marketed under four different brands during the course of its long run.

It begin life as "Realistic" (cat. no. 31-1957) when it replaced SA-150 in 1994.

The following year it became "Optimus" (still as 31-1957) and remained so through 2000.

It was rebranded "RCA" (31-5000) in 2001, which lasted at least through 2002.

Subsequently, "RCA" SA-155 was reborn as "Radio Shack" (31-5032), though the timing is unclear as catalogues were discontinued after 2002. "RCA" may or may not have prevailed beyond that year before giving way to "Radio Shack."

Neither is it clear when SA-155 ceased production altogether. Packaging cartons often bore date codes matching that of the product contained within. I've seen a "Radio Shack" brand SA-155 carton with date code 08A04 (Aug. 2004), suggesting ongoing production to stock the 2005 marketing year at least.

At launch, a matching tuner TM-155 (31-1958) was offered, consistent with mini amp tradition. But it was dropped after 1998.
