The Realistic 999B is the perfect addition to your stereo system.
The 3-speed, 4-track deck has three heads that enable you to make professional sound on sound recordings and create special effects by adding voice, background or accompaniment to previously recorded sounds.
Tape/Source monitor lets you hear material as it's recorded.
Other features include level controls and VU meters for each channel to assure perfect stereo balance, front panel mike jacks for live recordings, separate power On/Off switch, headphone jack, single knob function control for Stop, Play, Fast Forward , Rewind and Pause, instant speed change switch, and more.

What choice of Tape would you use for this machine? Normal? I would imagine the higher quality tapes would be a wast?

Love it. They don't have it's 4 channel cousin on this site yet. Realistic 494 .
