I got these in excellent condition and mine seem to be one of the last of this product to go on sale. The bass drivers r paper edged cones so no worries there. Being audio an engineer I’m kinda fussy and the frequency response of 25-40,000Hz is very attractive n a big plus. I’ve owned several speakers of many different types and these r imho good enough for a decent project studio. Buy with confidence and don’t be put off by the foam surrounds on the woofers. Once repaired with good placement a lil trimming the two mid and hi pots per speaker these will truly shine. Deep bass without being boomy they r not muddy like other ported enclosures I’ve worked with

Good clean fun. Played at loud volumes is when this speaker is at it's happiest. The mids are muddy, but bypassing the lightbulb fuses helps. Look cool, have a cult status for a good reason. Needs over 100 wpc to fully appreciate the performance.

Love my Mach twos. Bought them in 1984 and just refurbished them. Great sound. 'Real' audio response brings my rock tracks to 'live' levels.

re: Mach Two

Purchased mine in 1991, at a Tandy store in Newcastle for around $800.00, replaced the foam on the mid`s and woofers, around 1998.
Will never part with them.
