I also have an RA-2030, this amp blows it out of the water in terms of imaging qualities

I paired this amp with Legacy Focus 20/20 speakers and wow! I have a Yamaha A-S1100 too and when comparing both, the Yammi is a bit shy in the base. Rotel has more punch, also it feels more alive when playing Santana At Montreaux, percussions have a more natural sound. I am also using a Peachtree DACITx. The only concern is that I have to take a really good care of Rottel as is already 40 years old!

Purchased new with matching RT-425 Tuner. Still is working well and a pleasure to listen to CD or Vinyl. I now have an RA-1412 amp I use more frequently.
