Great little Amp.
Not expensive to get second hand and sends everything that you can buy new for less than a 1000 euro's straight to the scrapyard with ease.

I have mine for about 6 years now. Never let me down, still in original, unrestored condition. Still used on daily basis. Today powering only my set of KEF Carlton III's. But neither has it ever complained about the Carltons combined with a pair of Celef (ProAc) Monitor's alongside it at the same time...

Sounds a lot better than my Pioneer SA-708 for sure!

But having said that. A friend's (unrestored) Nikko Alpha 130, which comes with a bit more grunt, but weighs about the same: Sounds even cleaner and more accurate than the Rotel.

So... Don't push the RA-812 over 10 watts continuous per channel (that'll already shake your room) and you won't lose too much of it's raw but very nice sound quality.

Last but not least, it has a pretty smooth Phono stage. Hooked up to my Thorens TD166 running with a Stanton 500V3, You get a very accurate yet beautifully deep and warm sound.

If anyone can provide me with a replacing power-button and one of the 7 switch-knobs, Don't hesitate to send me a PM!! =)

I've been using this for over 4 years now after having bought it from a street market at a cheep price: great sound, rich and intense.. probably gives out more power than what stated and you can hear it's been built with high quality material...

re: RA-812
