re: RT-950

Can anyone please advise on Rotel 950BX tuner. I know its an old tuner but it has worked fine for last c 20 years, until this week when it has stopped tuning into FM stations - still works on AM stations. Thanks for your help. Geoff

re: RT-950

Had exactly the same problem with this model.

I narrowed the problem down to oxidation on the film trimmer capacitors, CT102, CT103 and CT104. Gave them a light spray of electrical contact switch cleaner, (Servisol Super 10) and gave them a turn ever so slightly and then back to where they were.

Radio is auto tuning again and has been working now for 13 hours.

It's a fantastic radio, hope this helps to keep it going.
