Still top quality gear just about the best in the analog realm.
I pick one up from the original owner he said it sat in the same spot for 35 years and it was used most days. When I plugged it into a mosfet amp it was ready to go no re-break-in period. Sliders were silent and smooth the selector switches snapped into position excellent shape good as new.

Faulty Operation?

I recently got on of these and am not sure how the buttons work for tape decks.

-I get line EQ when "Line" is pushed
-I get tape deck when "Tape Monitor" is pushed; if I additionally press "play" (for tape-play w/ EQ) as per instructions, I get weird stuff happening - distortion, unequal channels, etc..., however, if I just press "play" (w/o "Tape Monitor") I get the tape deck w/ EQ
-I have tried cleaning the switches, and it has reacted a little differently but not as per the instructions - I may needed to do a better cleaning.

Any knowledge of the proper function is appreciated
