Very good sounding lower power receiver. Very competitive contest between it and my Sherwood S-7200 for most pleasurable to listen too after recapping and noisy transistors replaced. Good FM tuner. Also did the Conrad Hoffman mods to it. Both undervalued in the market, particularly the Sherwood. The cap coupled 2000A drives my large Advent Legacy IIs in my living room effortlessly. It does not seem to be lacking in punch compared to the later '70s 45-60 watt per channel designs

I Agree! This is a great receiver, amazing how good it sounds after replacing power supply and amp electrolytics.

Toller Receiver von Ende der 60er Jahre. Warmer weicher Klang. Preislich gl├╝cklicherweise vollkommen unterbewertet.

Really good sounding receiver. I can't believe these are so undervalued. It's really quite lovely.

re: 2000A

Does anyone have a list of the capacitors, transistors, and diodes that should be replaced to bring the 2000A back to it's glory? There's someone on Ebay selling a kit for $165. Is that a good price?

re: 2000A

You might find something on Audiokarma.org in the Sansui section. Do some searches there. Otherwise make your own list based on what is on your circuit boards. Stick with same capacitance values but can go up in voltage if need to, just not down. Build a list on Mouser.com. Use Audio Grade in the signal path. Just about all new caps will have better specs than originals. Stick with Nichicon & Elna Silmic II.

I would like to acquire a complete set of tubes to replace the old ones. these ones have been in since 1971.
does anyone know where I may purchase these?

re: 2000A

Maybe you have a Sansui 1000 ?

re: 2000A

The Sansui 2000A is a solid state receiver. There are no tubes.

Perhaps you mean the 200A.
