I've owned my Sansui 8080DB for over 40 years. It is a workhorse. I've used it daily and it has failed ONCE.
The overload circuit breaker began to flash red last week. Removed the 6 screws on the cover, one screw on the driver board and unplugged 2 wiring harnesses. Two fuse resistors were bad. Removed those, soldiered 2 news ones in and reassembled . Plugged it back into the wall, switched it on. The circuit protection lamp went green & it is again functioning flawlessly.

I just got a Sansui 8080DB. I've had Marntz 2238 a 2285 and still own a 2250b. They were wonderful BUT what a huge surprise when I pushed the on button on the 8080DB. It has an amazing FM tuner section.... I can't even compare the reception.... it's off the hook...... GREAT!!! What a treat....
