Bought in 1998 for 50$ in fully working condition. there was a electronic shop in my town and they were importing used Japanese goods. this amp was laying in the corner there without anyone's attention. when I was in school one of my friend was having AU 3900, I was amazed with the sound quality of that amp, just 28W per channel. now I owned this AU 7900 for 22 years without any failure. I didn't do any re-capping or cleaning of pods (I think now its the time to do), but still produces unbelievable warm & crispy sound. Built in 1973. now 47 years old just as me, non can match. this is the best amp I have ever owned. later I bought AU7700 & BA 2000. love them all.

Best amplifier ever for this power

Reviewed Oct 08th, 2017 by

I am blown away by the power and crystal sound from this amazing piece of Japanese engineering. I got mine from Ebay in May 2017 with only left channel working. Only now I got the chanceto have it restored to it's full power again after taking it to my friend who is an expert in these old Hi-Fi's here in London. Damas Electronics at Willesden Green. I am a collector of amplifiers and receivers and I have JVC's, Marantz, Yamaha, Sony, Hitachi, Sanyo, Denyo, Akai, Aiwa, Trio, Pioneer, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Technics and this Sansui is the best integrated amp I have, I simply love it! Any speaker will come out to life with the beauty of this amp sound. Get one if you can, no regrets at all!

AWESOME...you may not need another integrated amp - ever! Its 75 watts are refined and powerful. The TRANSPARENCY is its strongest characteristic. If you need to 'hear' every detail in analogue or DDD recordings on CD/MP3/FLAC this is the dream machine! My advice: pay for a fully restored model with new capacitors - not merely serviced - while retaining the original C-core transformers. Hearing is believing! Anyone has a copy of the owner's manual? Cheers, ALAN
