I have had a G600 reciever since 1978. Over the years, it has been upgraded more than once (at the request of others). Always, it has been kept in storage by me. Now, all these years later, I have once again brought it back to life. It is by far the absolute best sound delivering receiver I've ever experienced. My hope is that it will last until I die.

Very nice sound and decent build quality. These amps do sometimes have problems with resistors going way out of spec but other than that they are pretty solid.

Very nice!!!

re: G-6000

how hard is it to replace the bulbs in the display.

re: G-6000

I purchased this in Okinawa in 1978 New. Over the intervening years I have brought this into service and then stored it a number of times replacing this old heavy unit with newer lighter ones. Well, yes they were lighter but when they broke I broke out my old standby. I finally wised up and only run the G-6000. Marines are hardheaded but it is hard to believe that it took over 30 years to figure this out.

re: G-6000

Greetings from another Sansui addicted audio freak :-). I had a G-8000 back in 1980 that I bought new for about nine hundred bucks. All these years later after retiring I moved back to my hometown and started to build another component system. Looked all over for another G-8000 but everything I found was trashed or selling for a price close to the National Debt. Finally, just a week ago I ran across the G-6000 on the Bay for a fair price of $450.00 and I couldn't resist any longer. I had gone through a Mitsubishi and an older Pioneer AV tuner and amp but was still hoping to find another G-8000. After settling for the G-6000 it arrived via UPS an hour ago and I'm very pleased. It's as pristine as I had hoped. Now I'm setting in to hook everything up and get it cooking. I'm looking for a users manual to refresh myself on everything and would deeply appreciate it if you could message me with any information you might run across toward finding one. Many thanks in advance.
