At first glance, you might think this receiver was underpowered at 27wpc. I find it has plenty of power for normal use. A very nice classic quad receiver!

I am fixing one with a dead channel. The problem is not the amps, it's the soldering on the FM board. For Sansui this is very poorly done. Lots of bad gaping solders, the whole FM board needs resoldering.

excellent sound quality. Well balanced tuning for tuner, and smooth movement. Excellent for reproducing to digital mediums.

Please be aware that the service manual is incorrect in many places. If you own this machine and wish to service it, you MUST open it and check your components. For instance, the main capacitors in this machine are not 63v as the manual describes but rather 80v. Many changes apparently as can be seen in my machine where lots of components are 'dotted' which means they are changed from spec at the factory.
