Excellent sounding 120 watt Integrated Amplifier. Well designed and looks beautiful vintage. One of the sleepers and under the radar but also rare. Not too many were made. People who have this Amp usually keep it. Sherwood beats most of the Japanese made stuff from this era. I’m a huge fan of Marantz and 3 or 4 Sherwood models are as good if not better. This is one of them. If you find one, I highly recommended it. You will not be disappointed.

re: HP-2000

One of the best integrated amplifiers I've owned. I've owned Marantz, Mac, Classe, Etc. and this Sherwood holds its own. When you factor in the affordability it's one of the best values in used audio. It has a very clean sound that I didn't expect from a late 70s Sherwood product.

It's easy to service, but you need to be careful of the ribbon cables and pins. They are prone to cold solder joints or solder stress cracks at the ribbon pins. The boards are glass reinforced so they don't tend to crack like some thinner boards I've seen.
