re: CDP-101

Today i finished servicing this machine. It had a problem that when you inserted a disc it would refuse to read TOC. The cd only spinned for some seconds and it was ejected.

In service mode the machine wouldnt reproduce music at all. The cd only moved, and the RF pattern decreased its size until the laser would eventually make a noise and the RF would get bigger again.

After doing all the electrical calibrations i found that the PLL-V was set incorrectly. After that calibration the SLED came back to life and the player started playing like normal again.
