re: CDP-X779ES

I need to change the drawer belt on a 707ES. Does anyone know the disassembly sequence to get the belt off the cogs that move the drawer?

Also largely relates to the CDP-X707ES

Stated on the front page of the CDP-X707ES Service Manual is a note that the "707 is almost the same as the 779", meaning most of the 707 is contained here in the pages of this 779. The only differences are but 4 pages long on the 707 Service Manual location here at this site. Hope that helps anyone not catching this.

More on X707es

Hi Guys, Thanks Jeffe.

I just scored a 707 at the local GW. What a beast, I didn't know about this series, what stuck out was the unit weight and the gold connectors so I looked it over and purchased.

Sony also made a CDP X777ES and a CDP X505ES. However I can't find any owners manuals for them. I'm also looking for the Remote that went with this piece. I need to find out the part number for it.

The 707 originally came supplied with the RM-D995 (Gold version) or RM-D996 (Black version) Except for color, these remotes are identical
