re: FH-15R

Hello, I just picked up one of these - Missing speakers - from my garbage and it appears in stable condition. I have set it to run on my new speakers and have my Vinyl player going to the aux. but neither the cassette player or my auxiliary ports are emitting any sound when it gets down the line to my speakers.

I also have a problem getting the cassette player to function consistently. It is prone to 'stopping' about 3 seconds after hitting play. It will also attempt to play every time I power the system on, and there seems no hope in changing the use from tuner/aux/ to tape as all function buttons are lit. Holding and double tapping hasn't helped.

I fear it is in worse condition that I expected, but I have gotten the tape player to auto-play all the way through, so all I need now is it to function on the right 'function' and actually emit sound.. Ps. I have tried full blast with the mute -20dcbl. button 'off' and jiggles my EQ nobs but nothing is working.

Could it be anything to do with the ISS switch? I am not familia with this switch..

If anyone has a clue, or knows if it is worth it to get a professional to look at this stereo, I would appreciate your advice greatly.
