re: SQD-2050

I had read on the quad forums that the printed circuit boards need to have the components soldered and touched up. I thought ok sure ya right. Hooked it up and here we go channels dropping out distortion volume loss. Ok sound like dirty pots went to town cleaning them then hit the switches no Improvement. So I grabbed the right side board the largest one and flexed it hard perfect sound it came alive time to break out the solder gun. Touched every component that passed through the board did about half the board before I got tired and said lets try it. Ok next day same thing drop outs said ok time to do both boards had to heat every component heat up joint let it re-cool. After re- soldering ever component the box is like brand new don't be afraid to put a little heat and do this as soon as you get this box you will be disappointed if you don't re solder ever component on the boards. As an entry level box it rocks!
