I got this 18wpc Sony in my bedroom. If I didn't know better I'd say it's at least 30wpc. Pleasant to listen too. Looks good too. Connected to the receiver are tape decks, CD player, turntable, and subwoofer with either HPM-40's for speaker A and for B there's L18i's. I'm very happy with this system. The little Sony has some strength for a teener. Sounds mighty detailed and balanced from top to bottom. Agreed a warm sound. I had a pair of Wharfedale 40's hooked up and that combo was perfect for jazz and mellow music with soulful vocals. I like heavy metal too so I changed speakers.
Inside the 7025, detox-it was needed and the pots and switches are easily accessible. Overall seems well thought out for its design and build.
I also have a 7065A. The 7025 sounds just like it. I like the 7025 better because the 7065a is a cluster Fk inside.

A underrated amp, the 18W can really deliver much more.
Tried with midsized Canton Speakers. Handles bass and crisp sound. Tried with 24bit aux and vinyl.Good allround.
Strong built inside, filled up space, quite heavy. Metal ports. Good radio even without antenna. Nice, not to warm sound.
Bang for the buck if you looking for a small vintage setup.

Hi, a bit of a shot in the dark, but I’m trying to source a replacement volume pot for this amp, any help appreciated.
