Looks like 80's cheap black plastic and thus flies under the radar. Closer look reveals massive toroidal transformer, aluminum face plate, 4 ohm drive capability, triple tone controls, pre-amp outputs, remote control that actually moves the aluminum, illuminated volume knob, muting switch, all anchored to what has to be the strongest chassis ever made for a receiver. One of the last powerful, well-made, two-channel stereo receivers.
