Just got one and it's a pleasant suprise! Cleaned it up inside. Removed the video boards and redid some cracked solder joints on the input and tuner boards. Sounds more dynamic, even at low volume, than my TA-FA3ES integrated amp.

Looks like 80's cheap black plastic and thus flies under the radar. Closer look reveals massive toroidal transformer, aluminum face plate, 4 ohm drive capability, triple tone controls, pre-amp outputs, remote control that actually moves the aluminum, illuminated volume knob, muting switch, all anchored to what has to be the strongest chassis ever made for a receiver. One of the last powerful, well-made, two-channel stereo receivers.
