Amplifier I have one year and in combination with Celestion Ditton 3, Technics SL-DL1 and Ortofon OMT 10 produces great sound. Seriously amplifier, not a toy.

The continental europe`s brother of the british F440E
has inherited the unnecessarily active around two
opamps designed line/sound control stage of the older
F420 model. The phonopre can be switched between
gain/impedance needed for MM and MC. But inputcapacity
is to high for many MMs and gain to low for many low
output MCs.
Anyway, the soundquality in Source-Direct mode is the
same like the britisch purist-version.
All`n`all the F470 is a neutral,pleasant sounding amp
with BJT outputstages that is for its price surprisingly
solid build with a very decent powersupply.
With a quality-upgrade of some passive components
the old F470 tops a bunch of modern budget high
end amps.

re: TA-F470

Review for german version. Which is FTZ-damaged.
