re: TC-540

I have a Sony Tapecorder TC-540 of 60 Hz but I need different diameters of the pulley (pulley motor) to 50 Hz and to build a to change my recorder. I thank anyone who can be bothered to provide me such data.
Thank You

re: TC-540

The instructions for changing the electronics to match 50Hz are within the manual supplied by Hifiengine, above, please see page 10 for the correct pulley part number and how to connect (leave unconnected) the capacitor mentioned in the diagram. If unfamiliar with vintage, suggest you find a person handy to do it for you. Repositioning the capstan pulley drive after you replace it requires some skill, but when you are done you are "in." Suggest replacing the belts and inspecting the pinch roller for hard spots after you are that far into it. Take the time to calibrate and clean the heads, if you change the belts and motor capstan pulley drive do not throw away the old ones.

re: TC-540

I am looking for an owners manual (copy of) a TC-540, this was my grandfathers machine and he passed many years ago. I remember this unit working very well and would like to get a copy of said owners manual, also looking for a power cord. Please help. Thank you for any information or help.
