The highly sophisticated Sony TC-580 is designed for the serious music enthusiast.

Special features of the model include a three-motor, six-head function, AC Servo controlled capstan drive motor prevents speed variation regardless of voltage or load changes, Symmetrical transport mechanism assures optimum performance in forward and reverse modes. Advanced ESP automatic reversing system. Microphone and line mixing. Sound-on-sound recording with the use of a connecting cord. Built-in reel locks. Record equalization selector switch for standard or Sony Low-noise High-output tape. Vertical or horizontal operation.
