re: Revelation Basic

Three people have asked me to do modifications to this pre-amp. Aside from changing the power supply transformer to a AnTek AN-2225 toroidal, and Elna Sillmic II bypass caps, gold RCA jacks... does anyone know the stereo substitute for the two mono 10k ohm volume pots? Part number if you have it.

re: Revelation Basic

I have one with a faulty power supply. I haven't been able to find any information on PS specs. My model came from one of Stan's engineers so is possibly a prototype or mod. No serial number. The PS black box contains 2 separate transformers with no identifying marks. Can you provide me with more information about the AnTek and how to switch it out? Thanks in advance. Michael

re: Revelation Basic

I don't have the part number, but I have used some mono pots from Mouser that have worked fine. Also have used fancy pots from Goldpoint.

Best regards,
Den

re: Revelation Basic

I have found that the 20k pots encased in transparent plastic sound the best. What brand pot you install does make a difference in sound.
