re: 34

Hi Thanks heaps for the manual!

I have a Tascam model 34, and it all seems to be working well, except that the rubber belt from the drive shaft to the flywheel/pinch roller has completely perished. Does anyone know the size of this belt or where I can get a replacement?

re: 34

Luckily, there is only one belt you need to deal with. EBay is one option where you can get one for about $15 shipped. The same belt is used in 32, 34 and 34B.

re: 34

Hope someone can help on this one
I have 2 tascam 34s and both have the same issue .When recording on tracks 1+3 recording on track one works (plays back on my akai 636 and Teacx2000) but nothing on the meter or output during playback when set to repro on both 34s ,tracks 2,3+4 work fine , i get output and meter activity when sync is selected Both decks are recording a signal onto the tape !
Helllpp..... This one has got me scratching my head :(
