I love this CD player. Its built like a tank, it always plays CDs, even if they are in rough shape, this one plays more than any other CD player Ive owned. To my ears, it sounds better than my 24bit 192kHz Integra CD Player. The TEAC PD-555 sounds warmer, and there seems to be more presence, instruments are more defined. Maybe its some fluke of the amazing TEAC design. 18bit 8X Oversampling Dual D/A Converter. Just analog outs on this, however, when plugged into a nice tube pre, with a nice pair of electrostatic speakers, it becomes another beast.
