My deck is still going strong after all these years. The only thing that faulters is the playback auto-stop. The sound is amazingly good - I did a test and recorded from radio the other day, and I could hardly tell the difference between the source and target. I also tried Michael Jacksons Bad, original tape (chrome). Great sound. I could almost substitute my CD-player with this deck without too many tears. High quality indeed, with metal buttons and knobs, but admittedly not the prettiest boy in the block, and hard to match with other equipment than the Technics Z11-series.
