I purchased this receiver new about 1990 for a secondary system in a home office and it has provided good service ever since, outliving at least two, higher end receivers in my main system by at least a decade. It finally quit this week. Its sound was clean and noise free throughout with more than adequate power for my purposes. Perhaps with the aid of the service manual that I found on this site I'll be able to restore it to service.

Basic solid Receiver. Neat sound. Plays well in combination with B&W DM4 as with various Mission speakers.
Phono input , 4 speakers , 40 watt RMS. Not bad at all.

Nothing good to say about this unit. Plastic era of plastic sound from Technics :-(

Good old Technics receiver: all the basics like AM/FM tuner, tone/volume controls, and inputs for CD, phono, and tape. Damping factor of 20 is sufficient to control larger speakers, and really well suited for most bookshelf speakers. Dependable.
