Help! Anyone?

re: SU-V550

Hi, I have Technics SU-V550 Amplifier. I get red light "current drive" alarm and no sound at all. It comes on after 5sec after I switch on the amp. Can some body advise? Only change I did was power selection changed from 220v to 110 v thats because I migrated to Canada from Middle East where voltage was 220v. How ever I tried to go back on 220v through external transformer that I brought for the same. But no success.
The Amp is so good 24yrs and no one can beat that sound. Your advise n help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Hi.Just open the amp.and check the fuses...

re: SU-V550

Hello Gracian,

The lamp is supposed to go on after 4-5 secs and stay on. If not, then please make sure that you have no short circuits. This topic is explained in the manual btw.

If the light is on and still no sound, there is probably no easy fixable solution to your problem.
Maybe choosing a different input helps. I am not an expert. :)

Hope this helps.
