re: VRX-9000
Ogre1, I have the same problem with a VRX-9000 receiver that I purchased new sometime around 1980. If anyone out there has any suggestions, they would be much appreciated.
VRX-9000 (Protector LED)
I recently received this receiver from my father-in-law. It's been sitting in his garage for the last 10+ years, and worked fine when he retired it to the shelf.
When I turn it on, all of the lights come on, but the PROTECTOR LED never goes off.
I've got it connected to a pair of Cerwin Vega D1 speakers that work fine connected to my Onkyo amp.
I don't have the Operations Manual, so I'm unsure whether I have something connected wrong, or switches set incorrectly.
Any suggestions, or do I need to find a service tech to give it a good cleaning and text things out?
Vector Research VA 1450 transformers
I have a pair of transformer from a Vector Research VA 1450 power amp. the plan was to use them in a power supply for a poweramp I am building. There are four wires on the primary side of the transformer and I am going to connect them to 230v.
How do I connect these wire? There are one
white, an orange, a blue and a one brown wire on the primary side. Its probably two of these wires that should be connected together and the two others should be connected to 230v.
