I purchased my cr-600 in July of 1974. I still own the unit and use it regularly. I have never been disappointed in the sound this unit has provided and liked it better than many more expensive units.
I know use mostly digital sources.

I bought this receiver few years ago. I was looking CR-800 but I didn´t find one. I´m happy I bought it. Amplifier part sounds very smooth with dynaudio 42 speakers. Tuner (alpine) is very sensitive. I think these older Yamaha receivers are much better sounding than newer ones IMHO.
