This pre-amp is an unqualified steal! You can get it cheap on *bay. It is a very high quality, solid, well-built, reliable and versatile. Plus great specs! You get MM & MC with adjustable loading and excellent SN specs, a mono switch, and a great-sounding headphone amplifier that was not just an afterthought. It's build quality far exceeds others in it's price range, it's fairly heavy and has a nice feel to the controls. Occasionally you can find the remote to go with it that is humorously clunky-looking, but operates what turns to be a very cool and sophisticated motorized remote! At these prices it is useful just as a back-up and troubleshooting though it sounds terrific and holds its own as a main unit. For some reason this has flown under the radar.
