re: RX-350

For my "Audiophile on the Cheap" computer based sound system, the Yamaha RX-350 Natural Sound amplifier, in the CD-Direct mode is just perfect. The Heart of my system is a old Dell Computer with 4 GB of RAM, and a Solid State drive. My library is stored on an external 4 Tb drive and the integral element is the Schitt Modi-2 external DAC which handles up to 24-192 FLAC files. I run bit-perfect Audacious with the ALSA plug-in. My speakers are also vintage--the 1970s Advent Loudspeaker, with new foam rings in 1990.
