This sleek hybrid amp has been available since at least 2007. The sound and look are surprising for the price of about $300. Originally came with four 6N1 tubes and still shows them in the schematic but Yaqin now nicely supplies two 12UA7 and two 12AT7. Some early renditions had a loudness switch and earphone jack, now gone. Newer unit has nicer machined knobs and a heavy aluminum faceplate that looks like something from a Tesla. Also has better large heatsinks for the 4 Toshiba output transistors.

Also inside are Denon capacitors (probably Elna), Nippon Chem-Con capacitors, Piher trim pots and assorted other recognizable names including Texas Instruments. The tubes are made in China and could be replaced with others, but it sounds too fine to mess with IMHO. Some early reviews still online lamented that it ran hot and the shell was flimsy.

My unit purchased in 2017 from a Canadian dealer (who tested and adjusted) shows neither of those issues. However, this is not a premium amp and no surprise the shell and chassis interface is not McIntosh quality. Many online commenters like the sound…with mine blowing through vintage Large Advents I must agree.
